Bibnoiz is looking for an interactive artwork (Jazz & Spoken Word)

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a visual artist, illustrator or installation artist who would like to design an interactive/participatory artwork and oversee it throughout the evening. We want Bibnoiz visitors to be more than just spectators; we want them to work with you to create an artwork that evolves over the course of the evening.

Link with the theme

The artwork may respond to the atmosphere of the evening: the improvisation of jazz, the power of spoken word, or the library’s setting (language, stories, paper, text). The specific format is open: from live illustration or a mural in which the audience participates, to a three-dimensional collage or an installation combining language and images.

What do we offer

• A unique, atmospheric venue at the Ypres Library with an enthusiastic audience.
• Financial compensation for materials and artistic performance (to be agreed).
• Promotion via the channels of Hypnoiz, A New Breeze, Ypres Library and the City of Ypres.

Who are we looking for? 

Artists (from emerging talent to experienced creators) who relate to live dynamics, participation and the fusion of visual art with the atmosphere of music and spoken word. We are particularly keen to support emerging, young artistic talent and are keen to give them a platform, but this call is open to creators of all ages and backgrounds who feel inspired by this concept!
