Kunstmarkt As

On Saturday the 15th of August 2026, the Cultural Department of the Municipality of As, in collaboration with the Cultural Board and Semper Arte, is organising an art market on the newly renovated Kerkplein in the centre of As. The art market offers an accessible and attractive meeting place where artists can display, explain and, if they wish, sell their creations.

For this art market, we are looking for artists who wish to present their work to a wide audience of art lovers, visitors and collectors. 

For which artists?

Many different art forms are given a place in the art market:

• painting
• drawing
• photography
• woodcarving
• jewellery design
• porcelain
• glass art
• ceramics
• printmaking
• mixed media
• sculpture
• …

The condition is that all works on display must be the artists’ own creations. Only artists whose works are their own creations are eligible to take part.

Practical information

• The art market will take place on the 15th of August from 11 am to 5 pm on the newly renovated Kerkplein in As.
• Entrance for the public is free.
• In previous years, we welcomed over 1,000 visitors.
• Participation as an exhibitor is free; the organisers will provide a covered market stall measuring 4 metres wide.
• You must set up your stall before 11 am and dismantle it after 5 pm.
• A free breakfast will be provided for all stallholders.
• We will provide you with further information at a later date.

How to participate?

Taking part in the art market is completely free of charge. 
You can take part using your artist profile on Kunstwerkt. 
If you don’t yet have an artist profile on Kunstwerkt, simply add your first piece of work to your profile and get started straight away!

Interested artists can apply by the 15th of July. After that, those who have been shortlisted will be notified of the final selection as soon as possible.
