Makersmarket on Car-Free Sunday Leuven
Are you a maker, artist, craftsperson, designer or any other kind of creative? Then we’re looking for YOU!
During Car-Free Sunday in Leuven (20 September), the Leuven Learning Ecosystem is once again organising ‘Maakleerfest’, an event centred on making, learning, sustainability, circularity and solidarity. This includes a bustling makers’ market full of handmade products, original creations and inspiring stories. Does this sound like you? Would you like to exhibit or sell something? Then we’ll keep a spot free for you!
What do we offer?
- A spot in a covered frame tent (optional); the sides can be rolled up in good weather. You can also set up outside with (or without) your own small tent.
- 1 or 2 tables, each 2m20 long
- Promotion via our channels
- An opportunity to sell, network and showcase your work

Open cal with a participation fee
Participating artists pay 30 EUR (in the covered tent area) or 20 EUR (outside) and are provided with a display space in return.

At maakleerplek, a heritage site on the Vaartkom in Leuven, various organisations are working together to run a range of makerspaces and repair hubs. From textiles to electronics, and printmaking to laser cutting: nothing is too challenging. This is how we share infrastructure, machinery and spaces. We’re building a close-knit community of volunteers, creative minds and curious local residents who come together to learn something new and contribute to a sustainable, circular future.
