Veldwerk #03: River Ranch (Deinze)
This year we are organizing a number of inspiring and low-threshold activities in which ‘movement’ is central. The third edition of 'Veldwerk' we host, takes place on Monday, June 9 ( Pentecost Monday) together with Sabien Clement at the River Ranch in Deinze.
Pentecost Monday is also a holiday at Kunstwerkt, as we head to the River Ranch in Deinze for a new edition of Veldwerk, entirely devoted to horses. Together with illustrator-model artist Sabien Clement you will go through different exercises in a group to learn the anatomy of the horse.
Another nice extra: Sabien herself went to this centre to draw the horses for her graphic novel ‘Vel’.
Under the guidance of rider and instructor Laura Statius, we go through this model drawing session 2.0 in the Leie region.
At the end of the day you will go home with a sketchbook full of inspiration. Whether you work with paint, pencil, crayon or charcoal that afternoon: that's up to you. At the end of the session you are free to share experiences and inspiration of the day with other participants over a drink.

Bring your tools and join us on a few short trips where we expand our horizons and explore unknown territories together. Think of a refreshing location, a look behind the scenes, a lively performance or a challenging panorama. Together with a small group of artists, you will take a look at the surroundings and capture your impression.

A “pay what you can” principle applies to this activity. We offer three prices, you choose whether you pay a standard rate, a lower or higher rate.

When the weather is nice, the exercises will take place in the meadow; when it rains, we will draw in the indoor arena.
Good to know
- You bring your own material.
- Remember that you cannot work very large and you must be able to take your work home afterwards.
- We are with a group of maximum 20 participants.
- We provide water, coffee, tea and something sweet.
