Nudo de Madera

Wooden Knot : Mycelium of Ganoderma (medicinal mushroom), wood substrate, living sculpture
80 cm x 50 cm
2024

Inspired by the "knot" of a tree, but this time created with mycelium.

The "knot" of a tree is a growth that appears on the trunk or branches, born from the stress the tree endures. This "knot" is the tree's response, a living shield that forms to protect itself from external aggressions.
