Winterkamers
In December 2026, Winterkamers will open its doors at De Tank (Bruges). Works of art will be exhibited and offered for sale. This is an initiative aimed at making the purchase of art more manageable and accessible. The project challenges the ‘white cube’ concept and embraces an everyday setting for art.
Until 12 October, you can use this form to submit one artwork per person to be exhibited and offered for sale during Winterkamers. Further details regarding dimensions, asking price and practical arrangements can be found further down in the form.
Winterkamer inside / outside
There is one ‘Winterkamer’ indoors and one outdoors. Outdoors, the garden is transformed into a public sculpture garden; indoors, a homely setting is created to showcase works of art.
‘Winterkamers’ is an initiative by artists Matthias De Wolf and Florien Allemeersch, supported by Atelierwerking De Tank.

Artists’ studios in Bruges.
In 2016, Het Entrepot carried out a study into creative workspaces for artists in Bruges. More than 200 creative professionals were unanimous: affordable space is in high demand. This is particularly true for young artists and creators who are still looking for a place to work.
The results of that research led to the establishment of the De Tank studio collective, which opened its doors in 2017 on the Burg, in the centre of Bruges. Since then, De Tank has been virtually fully booked without interruption and has grown into a melting pot of creativity in Bruges. In 2023, De Tank moved to the Blydhove castle in Assebroek.
