The meaning of language - Durf 2030
Language connects people and brings them together, and yet... it is often seen as a barrier. What challenges does our society face in making itself heard? And can the cultural sector still truly express itself? DURF is tackling this challenge. We build bridges between the social challenges of language and the cultural sector. Can we use language as a starting point for new creative projects?
The challenges surrounding language today are complex. How does the richness of language fit into our language legislation? What is the language of AI (artificial intelligence)? Visual language versus no language versus spoken language? How do interpretation and disinformation relate to each other?
With this call, DURF wants to support projects that ask these questions. We invite organizations, artists, and institutions to collaborate and turn ideas into action.
Through Kortrijk Cultuurfonds, you can apply for up to €6,500 for your project. The total budget for this call is €20,000.
