Ever heard of HUP? With the second edition of this trajectory, Kunstwerkt offers a year-long financial and in-depth support to 15 emerging visual artists. Could your artistic plan also use a push? And would you like to spend a year building up to an exciting exhibition with an interesting group of fellow artists? Then you should continue reading.
What is HUP?
With HUP, we give your artistic path a push. With a budget of 2000 euros and interesting coaching along the way, you get a year-long boost in a group of 15 selected artists. With that support, you will expand your work and build towards an exciting group exhibition in BLANCO in Ghent. And we throw in the network of a group of diverse fellow artists for free!
Who is HUP for?
This programme was created for hobbyist artists, art students and emerging artists living in Flanders or Brussels. Specifically, we are looking for those with ambition to deepen their work, but are not yet professionally supported.
The budget is there to support your practice: one artist may use it to rent studio space, while another might need some extra budget for materials. Besides financial support, Kunstwerkt also organises various coaching moments: the 15 artists meet every so often to exchange experiences. During these meetings, we reserve some time for interesting workshops tailored to their needs, group discussions with experts and feedback sessions.
We will show the final result at the end during a group exhibition in BLANCO in Ghent, opening June 5th. Save the date!
