Aleksandra Zurawna
Willebroek, Belgium
Aleksandra Żurawna is a Polish visual artist working in the medium of analog collage.
Her practice is rooted in artistic protest, standing against overconsumption through upcycling, archival print, and discarded media. Drawing on Dadaist traditions, she breathes new life into the mass-produced, protecting the planet from material excess.
In her work, she addresses delicate and marginalized social themes, taking cues from photojournalism and global news. She condenses the sensory overload and chaotic noise of the modern world into single, unified compositions. Out of mismatched fragments, she constructs a new, vibrant reality marked by bold colors and dynamic Pop Art aesthetics.
