Threads of Time

On antique hand-embroidered tablecloths, I add machine-made motifs, creating a textile palimpsest where past and present overlap. The meal scenes—breakfast, dinner, banquet—freeze the use of the object while diverting it: the tablecloth is already laid, the meal is being prepared at the same time. The fragility of the manual gesture and mechanical precision coexist, generating an absurd and poetic shift that transforms the ordinary into visual fiction.
