In goede handen
From the 5th to the 20th of September, the group exhibition 'In goede handen' will take place at Het Fort van Ertbrand in Kapellen. Art platform Kappa invites artists to participate in this special exhibition.
Theme
The theme focuses on recovery, struggle, and starting over. These are experiences we are all familiar with, and they often play a role in the creation of art.
The exhibition ties in with Open Monumentendag and Natuurpunt. We care for what has been damaged, stand up for what matters, and seek new forms when everything changes. For artists, these are familiar processes, filled with doubt, commitment, vulnerability, and imagination.
Each participant is free to interpret the theme in their own personal way.
Recovery can involve care, healing, reuse, or fragility.
Fighting can manifest as resistance, dialogue, or an inner struggle.
Reinventing is about change, imagination, and new meanings.
Artists from all disciplines are welcome, as long as the work treats nature and heritage with respect. The exhibition aims to be an open and welcoming meeting place where personal stories converge around a single theme.
Location
Het Fort van Ertbrand is located in the Oude Galgenstraat and is a unique place where history and nature converge. Art can offer new insights here and enrich the experience of the site.
Open call with participation fee
Each participant pays a participation fee of €40. In addition to the participation fee, we also ask exhibitors to become members of our association. Membership costs €20 per year.

Interested artists can visit the fort in advance on: Saturday, 18th of April at 14h or on Monday, 20th of April at 14h
