Still life (with cake!)

Bring along a personal item and join us in creating a unique still life, which we’ll capture on paper on Sunday 4 October. Draw, paint, doodle or experiment with different materials. Or why not give your neighbour’s work a twist! Draw in your own sketchbook or collaborate on one large still life with the Bric-à-Brak collective. No experience or artistic talent is required – just a healthy dose of enthusiasm. And that’ll fill a page of your ‘A paper / a day’ sketchbook straight away: a good start is half the battle! We’ll provide cake and coffee for snacking.

Bric-à-Brak is a Leuven-based collective of four enthusiastic friends. In a world where everything seems to be moving faster, they consciously make space for slowing down and taking it easy. During their creative workshops, they invite everyone to get stuck in and try something new, regardless of age, skill or background. Using accessible materials, they inspire participants to find creativity in everyday life. Together, they’ll explore, tinker, experiment and give things a go. Nothing is compulsory; it’s OK to make mistakes.
