Expo 'De Parade' in STAM

On Thursday 3 December 2026, the STAM – Ghent City Museum will, as is its annual tradition, take part in MUSEUM NIGHT. During Museum Night, all of Ghent’s museums open their doors to the public free of charge, allowing you to enjoy an atmospheric evening amongst the finest collections and exhibitions the museums have to offer. What’s more, the museums are pulling out all the stops and will be surprising visitors with musical performances, numerous activities and live acts.

This year, STAM is dedicating Museum Night entirely to the temporary exhibition ‘De Parade’, which focuses on marvelling at STAM’s own collection. We are looking for artistic interventions, artworks or installations that relate to the concept of ‘parading’ or to the exhibition ‘De Parade’, to be displayed for one evening to thousands of museum visitors in a unique setting.

Selection & conditions

For Museum Night, we will select a maximum of 6 works that are in some way linked to ‘De Parade’. The selection will be made by an internal working group.

We will provide a professional presentation at the STAM – Ghent City Museum, a major public event, security and surveillance of the works, publicity, and a loan fee of 350 EUR (incl. VAT) per work.
