27.01.2024 - 18.02.2024

Discover, admire and experience how diverse the world of textile art is. The group exhibition ‘Draad’ in Texture (Kortrijk) collects stories from 30 artists, in an intriguing mix of techniques, materials and interpretations. Draad is a celebration of the creative freedom of textiles.

We interact with textiles every day; from the sheets we sleep on and the towels we dry off with to the clothes we wear. We have a long and personal history with textiles. It is also one of the oldest materials and first forms of technology.

From 27 January to 18 February 2024 the group exhibition ‘Draad’ (‘Thread') celebrated this versatility by bringing together thirty artists who take a unique approach to this medium. Here, textile was not only considered as a fibre; in this selection textile is used as an artistic palette through which artists bring their ideas, experiences and visions to life.
