Veldwerk on the menu: drawing outings worth savoring
With Veldwerk, we lure you out of your studio for a drawing workshop in a special location. We've already taken our sketchbooks along to a horse riding school, a dance school, and a botanical garden. For the upcoming editions, we're focusing on different kinds of treats: in September, guided by artist Zita Coltura, we're heading to the PAKT rooftop farm Volle Grond in Antwerp. Curious where else we're headed?

A paper / a day: drawing every day in October
We're taking on the challenge again! With A paper / a day, we encourage everyone to draw as much as possible. Already thinking "ugh, I won't have any inspiration for that"? No worries: we share a prompt every day on our Instagram channel A paper / a day. For those who'd rather not scroll through Instagram, we also have a daily mini-newsletter. Also thinking "I'll need a new sketchbook for this"? We've got that covered too. We're giving away more than 10,000 free sketchbooks across Flanders and Brussels. No more excuses not to try! Discover where to get yours on our website soon.
A paper / a day takes place from October 1st until October 30.
HUP 03: a boost for your artistic project
For all artists who dream of finally digging all the way into a bigger concept, idea, or project, HUP is the open call to take your shot at this autumn. HUP is Kunstwerkt's talent development program, in which we support non-professional artists financially and creatively for a full year. This year we're partnering with De Tank in Bruges. Atelier in beeld 2027: registration opens in November
Seasoned Atelier in beeld artists have long marked January with a highlighter in their agendas, because that's when registrations for the big open studio weekend used to open. From now on, we're starting a bit earlier: registrations for Atelier in beeld 2027 runs from November 23 to December 13. Questions about that? Email Kunstwerkt-colleagues Els and Magalie at atelierinbeeld@kunstwerkt.be.
Kunstletters: an autumn issue about working in series
In the new issue of Kunstletters, we turn our attention to series: works connected by a single idea, question, or technique. The works within a series start from the same premise but revisit it anew each time. Where does the power of that repetition lie? What does each new work add to a series? Expect another issue of Kunstletters full of engaging conversations with artists and plenty of room for inspiring imagery. And perhaps featuring your work too! Through an open call, we're on the lookout for your series.
