Kunstwerkt refreshed: welcome to our new website!
New logo and new website
Over the past few years, Kunstwerkt has grown significantly. The online platform Beeld has become the go-to place for 11.000 artists to showcase and discover visual work. WithAtelier in beeld, which celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2026, more than 2.700 artists will once again open the doors of their studios to the public this year. And that’s not even mentioning our expanding database of advice articles, the training sessions that give artists a helping hand, and our inspiring activities.
Kunstwerkt doesn’t stand still, and the landscape around us is evolving rapidly too. In recent years, it hasn’t become any easier for visual artists to present their work. Artists are expected to maintain an online presence, but with the rise of AI and growing concerns about using social media as a portfolio platform, the need for an overarching, safe, and local alternative is increasing.
At the same time, through our role as a link between organisers and artists, we’ve learned more about how to further reduce the distance between the two. Enter the fully renewed kunstwerkt.be: a place where everything Kunstwerkt stands for comes together in one engaging whole.
What’s changing for our artists?
All of Kunstwerkt’s activities, open calls, and projects are now centralised on this website. Artists who already had a profile on Beeld now have a profile here. All works previously shown on Beeld have been transferred as well. Convenient, right?
Your profile is also your key to everything Kunstwerkt offers: through your artist profile, you can take part in open calls and register for activities. The possibilities are endless, so feel free to explore this new website for yourself. The only downside is that your screen time might increase dramatically. Sorry about that.
What’s changing for organisers?
Organisations or local cultural workers who previously launched open calls on Beeld can now do so on this renewed website as well. Create, show, be seen
A new look, a new Kunstwerkt? Something like that. Our new logo and renewed website give our organisation a boost, but they don’t change our core. Kunstwerkt remains the point of contact for emerging visual talent in Flanders and Brussels. Our mission stays the same: to give visual artists the freedom to create, grow, and be seen.
