July 2023

Discover monthly is a monthly video experiment where we gather your drawings based on a theme into a short video. For Discover monthly #5 we're looking for drawings of hands. Because the human hand is truly amazing. Think about all the things your hands can do?

Hands represent strength, power, protection. They stand for generosity, hospitality and stability.
And they can do millions of things.
Hands can hold hands with loved ones. They can wave.
They can clean, type, paint or write. They can fix things, move objects, drive a car, text or cook. They can do gardening works, they can swim, dance, perform, pray, stroke, hug and eat. Among things.

Think about everything you do with your hand. And draw it. Show us those hands!

Send us your drawing before the 24th of July

Keep in mind that:

  • we need sharp line drawings (preferably in pen, pencil or ink).
  • it's better to keep it simple. We don't need detailed drawings.
  • you have to draw on a white background or paper (without dots or lines).
  • we need a sharp image in .png or .jpg in high resolution (min. 300 dpi).
  • you have to photograph the drawing in a natural light. Not sure about the light conditions? Try taking the photo outside during the day, for example in the garden or on the street.

If your drawing does not comply with this guidelines, we won't include it in the video.
