Judit Lara (Santiago de Chile, 1985) is a Chilean visual artist specialized in textile art. Her practice focuses on the Mapuche loom, one of the ancestral crafts of the Indigenous peoples of her country, which she intertwines with contemporary artistic explorations. Throughout her career, she has worked with various Indigenous communities in Chile and Latin America, exploring textiles as a space of identity, memory, and cultural resistance. She currently lives in Belgium, where she continues to develop projects that connect tradition and contemporaneity in textile art.
