Artist Statement:
In my artistic practice, I explore the intricate dynamics of social pressure, (abuse of) power, and human relationships. By pairing text fragments with everyday objects, I create a tension between form and content, examining the delicate boundary between emotion and perception.
I am drawn to everyday objects—balloons, bricks, tablecloths—that are often perceived as mundane or insignificant. By removing them from their familiar contexts and infusing them with language, I invite viewers to question habitual associations and discover the subtle poetry embedded in the everyday.
Rooted in personal experiences of overextension, powerlessness and vulnerability, my work evokes a sense of fragil uneasiness. I aim not only to convey these feelings but also to provoke them in the viewer, creating a space for reflection.
