The creation of new versions of said sculptural works—or even the act of experimenting with and testing other formal patterns using new tools—starting from works that are, let us say, 'classic' (mostly bronzes)...

These are three projects I have worked on recently; the goal was to take an existing classical sculpture and create a new version using digital 3D scanning techniques, thereby exploring a fresh interpretation of the work. (In this instance, I used a public sculpture in Ardooie by Isidoor Goddeeris— sculptor from Roeselare—as well as a piece by Jules Lagae (*A. Rodenbach*) and a third work by George Grard, following a visit to the Koksijde museum and its new location.)
Because I admired these works, I took the liberty of creating new versions of each piece and 3D printing prototypes—initially in a medium size. I also explored the possibility of turning them into chocolate pieces on a smaller scale by creating custom molds (I already have a mold for the first piece). I found the process fascinating—an opportunity to utilize new tools to create new versions, even of works by other artists! I have already completed about five different pieces.
