Rust

This work evokes a journey of memory and the emotional trajectory of migration. Through monotypes of figures—appearing as mere shadows—layered upon sheets of hand-processed, parchment-like paper, a tangible archive of displacement takes shape. By incorporating suspended stone beads, raw-textured materials, and restored fragments, the piece reflects on how individuals carry their personal histories across borders and on their perpetual quest to find a sense of belonging.
