My client simply couldn't contain himself

Is a work which addresses the impunity of sexual violence in Belgium. Assembled prints taken from original court documents are adapted by embroidery, felting and writing. The title refers to a sentence used by the defence team in court. This topic is approached from a personal experience and a way for the artist to regain and reuse their voice. It’s a call for justice and an exploration of how art can be a medium to address political issues.
